Bluecoats Audition.
So last november i went to go audiotion for a Drum Corps called The Bluecoats. I was really excited to go but very nerveous at the same time, comming from a somewhat small school, i was going from a small drumline to a proffesional level drumline. When i got there i saw tons and tons of people, i was auditioning on snare and there were 5 spots available and 70 people going for those spots. now i had been practicing for a long time but i was just not up to this level and as the weekend went on i had played more than in two days then ever before and when it came down to it i didnt get invited back but got an amazing experience out of it. I believe i became a faster better player that weekend and am excited to go back and try again this year.....i will get into more detail when i write the memoir.

Wow. 70 people going for 5 spots?!? That is INSANE! I wish that I could play an instrument to be able to be in a drum corps. Like. The Cavaliers (i guess the bluecoats would work to). I am thinking about learning the mellophone. But I have no one to teach me and make me good enough in time for auditions. But i think you will make is this year. Good luck!
